The physical model test interlinks the concept design and sea trial during commercial utilization of wave energy converter. Aiming at oscillating buoy converter, conversion principle is firstly decomposed. Then, scale requirement fluid motion corresponding hydrodynamic similarity criterion considered in are introduced. Finally, solution scaling orchestration problem proposed considering overall different processes. selected based on working mechanism energy-capturing body only contact with water, requirements other stages structure determined by main mechanical factors. first-stage device recommended to meet Froude requirements, while second-stage third-stage conversions need power requirements. ratio three be consistent similarity, there no geometric shape criteria.
